| Russia booked their spot in the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship for Women with a resounding 90-50 victory over Belarus.
Yulia Lukina paced five players in double figures as Russia out-rebounded Belarus 47-24 to improve to 4-0 in the Qualifying Round Group F in Sulmona.
Natalia Vieru and Olga Zhuzhgova eached scored 12 points, Olga Petrova and Natalia Zhedik both had 10 and Irina Romanova chipped in seven points and 11 rebounds for the winners.
Belarus got 13 points from Natallia Kozun and 12 from Tatsiana Sinkevich but were already out of the game at half-time, trailing by 20 points in falling to 2-2 in the group.
Belarus stayed with the Russians early, even grabbing the lead 10-9 on Alena Novikova's basket. But Alexander Kovalev's side opened a five-point gap in leading 19-16 after one period.
Sinkevich's jumper made it 19-18 only to have Russia go on a 16-3 surge to pull ahead 35-21. The lead grew to 43-23 at the break as Russia dominated the boards in the first half, doubling Belarus 22-11 and getting Belarus's inside players in foul trouble.
Belarus tried to fight their way back into the game but Romanova and Petrova both knocked down three-pointers and Semen Khalipski's team could not handle Vieru and Zhuzhgova the paint. Hanna Butsyanava's three-ball made it 56-39 but it was 67-44 after three periods.
The Russian reserves did not let up at all in the fourth as they used a 13-0 spurt to open the biggest lead of the game at 88-48.
